**This session is to start March of 2023**

Position Description: The Advancing Careers in Trades Program, a collaboration of Turner, Metropolitan Community College, and Heartland Workforce Center, is a path for adults, ages 18+, to join the ranks of the construction industry. The program permits the participant to utilize an accelerated training method to advance their career and still be employed within the industry. The program is also designed to assist those who have not determined a clear path in the industry but are still looking for an entry point.

Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED required. Previous work or volunteer experience required.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
