Job Description:
Leidos has an opening for a Software Quality Assurance Lead to provide support to the Computing, Telecommunications, and Cyber Security team specifically in the area of Software Quality Assurance (SQA).
The position requires expertise in implementing Software Quality Assurance in accordance with the following requirements or standards:
Department of Energy (DOE) Order 414.1 D Quality Assurance
American Society of Mechanical Engineers NQA-1 2008 with 2009 Addenda Quality Assurance
NOTE: Remote work is available on a temporary basis. However, the candidate will be expected to be on site at the Lexington Office to work once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

General and Administrative
Responsible for planning and preparation of SQA documents and procedures, and assisting all levels of division or project personnel in software quality and security related matters
Perform oversight of the SQA program and support implementation of SQA requirements
Support software owners in grading SQA requirements based on risk, safety, facility life-cycle, and complexity
Has knowledge regarding development and maintenance of SQA associated system application(s) and support tools
Remains conversant with industry’s computer security technology and researches the latest information technology security trends
Develop, evaluate, review, or update training for personnel who use software and apply SQA requirements to software life-cycle phases
Knowledge is based upon a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, principles, standard practices, techniques and methods applicable to both software security and quality assurance efforts
May perform surveillance and inspections in accordance to the applicable site or department procedure.
Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner
Functions effectively in a team environment
Meets task and project deadlines under stressful situations
Other technical, cyber and general administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or associated field preferred, with 3 years related experience
Must have a strong software development background and sound understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
Working knowledge and experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server, and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Experienced with Microsoft SharePoint preferred
Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills
Knowledge of Windows systems
Strongly proficient PC skills including Microsoft applications and Adobe Acrobat
Detail oriented
Knowledge of information classifications types a plus. (e.g., OUO, PII, ECI, FOIA, and, HIPAA)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance at Q level.
