Cartographer - Geospatial Engineer/Topographer (CONUS/OCONUS)
Job Description Cartographer responsible for mapping production, cartographic finishing, feature extraction, and data content management to customer data standards and in accordance with project specific guidance.
Possess expert knowledge of ArcGIS and extensions, and perform QA/QC functions and correct data call errors.
Possess the knowledge and experience working with customer Foundation GEOINT products
Possess the knowledge of Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program (MGCP) feature extraction specifications
Have demonstrated experience working with Geospatial Data Requirements, Sources. Standards, and Products
Have demonstrated experience applying knowledge of quality control and assurance practices
Lead team to maintain and update the enterprise GIS database of vector, raster and commodity data needed by geospatial analysts.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Three (3) to ten (10) years of demonstrated relevant mapping extraction and Cartographic finishing experience required.
Demonstrated experience meeting assigned mapping and/or GIS/geospatial production requirements.
Cartographic finishing, feature extraction, and data content management related experience required.
Experienced in source packaging (ordering/obtaining imager and mapping data, orthorectifying and mosaicking imagery)
Knowledge and experience in CIB1, TLMs, MGCP products, MDG, DTED, SRTM, in boundary recovery processes.
Excellent knowledge and experience in feature data extraction; attribution process and cartographic finishing techniques.
Excellent proficiency in ArcGIS, Socet-Set, RemoteView, or comparable ELT software.
Superior knowledge of geospatial database content management.
Experience with FME, ESRI extract, transform, and load (ETL) tools, or similar software extensions.
Experience with GAIT, ArcGIS Data ReViewer, or comparable geospatial data inspection/QC software.
Proven ability to develop production schedules and deliver customer requirements on-time or ahead of schedule and proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Experience in combining digital cartography, computer technology, GIS, cartographic and geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats.
Experience working with geospatial data in a multi-user enterprise environment.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge and experience using Python and other related scripting to streamline and automate routine production processes.
Degree in GIS, Geospatial, Geography, or related fields of study, to include math/sciences.
