Job Description:

The Leidos Defense Group is hiring a Cybersecurity Specialist to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. An active Top Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Most work (75%) is on-site.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs actions to protect, monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to unauthorized activity within assigned information systems and computer networks.

• Employs cybersecurity capabilities and deliberate actions to respond to a computer network defense (CND) alert or emerging situational awareness/threat.

• Serves as an expert on CND requirements and compliance to such requirements by using Information Assurance (IA) tools and techniques to perform compliance analysis and correlation, tracking and remediation coordination, and escalating CND non-compliance.

• Provides technical analysis and sustainment support for the enterprise network, IA tools and applications.

• Assists with the application of Defense-In-Depth signatures and perimeter defense controls to diminish network threats.

• Collects and analyzes intelligence to correlate adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures; investigates computer and information security incidents; conducts computer forensic network and host analysis, intrusion and threat hunting support, and penetration tests to evaluate system security.

• Maintains proficiency in operation tools, creating countermeasures, and identifying trends in adversary behaviors and vulnerabilities.

• Responsible for operational planning in support of training, exercises, operations and coordination of integrated cyber operations by targeting hostile adversary activities and capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

• BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience.

• Must possess and maintain DoD 8570.01 CNDSP/CSSP-IR certification; any of the following IAT II certifications: CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA Security, CHFI, CySA+, GCFA, GCIH, SCYBER, Pentest+.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Splunk, Tipping Point, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), or Linux certification.
