Job Description

We are seeking a talented Senior Principal Software Engineer with a significant background developing ELINT systems to grow our Adaptive Sensors Product Line capabilities. This position offers qualified candidates significant opportunity to influence the business area’s technical strategy and roadmaps.

The Adaptive Sensors Product Line develops complex systems for both manned and unmanned vehicles within the Electronic Systems Sector of BAE. As a Senior Principal Software Engineer you will use your knowledge in ELINT technologies to lead in the design, implementation, and test of highly complex and innovative multi-domain ELINT/SIGINT software architectures. While doing so, you will participate in discussions and will interact with our customers to understand their requirements and guide our development efforts to meet their needs. You will be the software technical lead of small to midsize teams ensuring their technical success. As a technical lead and an ELINT SME you will contribute to and review software proposals as a primary representative of the C4ISR Adaptive Sensors software organization.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 10+ years software development experience or equivalent
  • DoD Secret level clearance (active within the last two years)
  • ELINT experience and proficiency in some/all of the following
    • Embedded and distributed signal processing
    • Small baseline interferometry and Geolocation
    • Working knowledge of antenna array technologies
    • Channelization techniques
    • Radar Pulse characterization and real time processing
    • De-interleaving pulse trains and pulse identification
    • Familiarity or background working with FPGAs (loading, interfaces, data movement)
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Java programming languages
  • Familiar with Software Engineering processes and methodologies
  • Experience developing using Linux Operating Systems
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Current Top Secret or higher Security Clearance
  • Experience with Agile Development and DevSecOps
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence) or GitLab
  • Familiar with working in a Cloud Native environment such as AWS or Azure using containers, Kubernetes, VMs, and microservices
