Senior Application Engineer (Onsite)
Job Description In this role you will become an expert in our latest sensors in order to support our customers’ questions and product development. This involves not only understanding our sensors but our customers' applications and issues as well. You will work closely with our engineering team to understand and resolve more complex customer issues.
You will work with our sales and marketing teams to demonstrate our capabilities and explain technical subtleties of our sensors. Your feedback to marketing will help us define our future sensors to address emerging customer needs and requirements.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate our superior imaging sensor capabilities.
- Work with customers to understand their issues and resolve them with engineering support when needed.
- Facilitate customers' product development and launch with our sensors.
- Apply customer feedback to improve both our support and future products.

- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience with imaging sensors, image processing or video.
- Excellent communication skills; listening, writing and presentations.
- Strong customer support experience.
- Multi-disciplinary skills and experience.
- Ability to travel to international customer sites - 25% travel
