BAE Systems Microelectronics Engineering IC Design Organization is looking for a highly skilled and collaborative individual to manage a wide array of cutting-edge EDA tools and workflows to insure our MMIC, ROIC, Digital ASIC and Mixed Signal Design Teams are operating at peak efficiency.

In this role you will:
  • Lead a team of CAD engineers/software developers/IT support personnel to develop flows to support analog, digital, mixed-signal, and EM simulations, schematic and layout entry, design analysis, and verification.
  • Coordinate and monitor license/resource usage by the various teams
  • Facilitate communication across various teams (at various locations) to improve collaboration
  • Work closely with IT to ensure designers have access to necessary tools, data storage, and computing resources
  • Work with EDA vendors and BAE design teams to ensure we are using the tools efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead interaction with EDA suppliers to resolve bugs in a timely manner
  • Lead efforts in developing and maintaining in-house software/scripts and/or explore substitutes from 3rd party vendors.
  • Oversee GaAs/GaN MMIC PDK development in support of our internal III-V foundry
  • Interface with external foundries to facilitate resolution of PDK issues
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or scientific field.
  • Extensive knowledge of EDA tools used in IC Development
  • Understanding of developing optimized workflows to that maximize design success and balance costs
  • Experience with PDK development
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • MS or PhD degree
  • Unix/Linux Network and System Admin experience
  • Design experience with Digital ASIC, Mixed-Signal or MMIC's
