Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a qualified former Submarine Missile Technicians to work in our support of our major Department of Defense (DoD) contract with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). The successful candidate will contribute to our exciting future in integrated electronic maintenance documentation in support of SSP. There is an immediate need for an Engineering Technologist to write, review, edit, process, and develop U.S. and UK TRIDENT II Strategic Weapon System (SWS) or the SSGN Attack Weapon System (AWS) fleet technical documentation material including SWS Description Manual, Standard Maintenance Procedures, Fault Isolation Trees, and/or Operational Documentation in accordance with established work instructions, perform technical evaluations, review technical source data and change drivers for required documentation updates and contribute to improved processes and product features while preparing technical reports and documentation. Candidates must show a strong history in technical proficiency and an attitude of innovation and professional excellence. They must have the ability to function when required as a virtual worker collaborating with other team members and ensure strict adherence to project timelines. Work locations are various, but could include Kings Bay GA, Cape Canaveral FL or Rockville MD but candidates MUST be able to travel.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills -High School Diploma with at least 6 years of related professional work experience
-Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
-SSBN MOD 4/6 Missile Technician with TRIDENT II Strategic Weapon System (SWS)/SWS Support Subsystems (SWSSS) deployed experience
-Experience with SSBN TRIDENT II SWS Preventive and Corrective maintenance concepts and documentation

-Experience with SSGN Attack Weapon System (AWS) Preventive and Corrective maintenance concepts and documentation
-Experience of SWS or AWS Operating Procedures/Principles of Operation concepts and documentation
-Experience with SSP Electronic Technical Documentation (SSPETD)

-Knowledge of Strategic System Programs, their mission, and organization
-Knowledge of MA and PMMP operations
-Knowledge of the SWS TFR Program
-Knowledge of the COSAL or OS/AEL
-Knowledge with the SWS SPALT Program
-Experience with MS Office Suite

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Self-reliant and self-motivated

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills -Active DoD Secret security clearance
-Associate's degree with 6 years of related professional work experience or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of related professional work experience
-Experience with MA and PMMP
-Experience with SWS TFR Program
-Experience with COSAL or OS/AEL
-Experience with SWS Troubleshooting methodology
-Experience with file sharing services and Web conferencing
-Experience with SWS Configuration Management
-Experience with MS Office Suite
-Experience with SWS/AWS Maintenance Policy and philosophy’s

-Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and/or Model-Based Systems Engineering
-Knowledge of documentation authoring tools (i.e., Vulcan)
-Knowledge of the SWS SPALT Program
