Gibbs & Cox, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Model Based Systems Engineer. As a senior member of an interdisciplinary team, As a senior member of an interdisciplinary team, you will apply a Model Based Systems Engineering methodology to a broad range of manned and unmanned ship projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide a range of systems engineering and analysis activities, including requirements development and review, review of performance analyses, test planning support, support for scenario development, review of pre-test predictions, participation in (or review of) studies and analyses, and other such shipboard auxiliary systems engineering and analysis tasking.

• Apply systems engineering methods and tools in the development of shipboard auxiliary support systems.

• Review technical artifacts including concept white papers, technical reports, requirements documents, specifications, change requests and design review packages.

• Conducting engineering analysis to support design integration and resolution of emergent issues.

• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems.

Basic Qualifications

• BS or Advanced Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent education in Systems Engineering.

• 8(+) Years of Systems Engineering Experience, two of which must be directly related to Model-Based Systems Engineering.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• An Active Secret Clearance is Required.

• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating models in CAMEO System Modeler

• Experience with US Navy ship designs.

• Experience working in large team environments & interfacing with highly technical points of contact for component systems / subsystems

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project unknowns/ambiguity
