As a key part of the team, you will support the air-vehicle planning system (APS) for United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). APS provides USSTRATCOM with the national’s only force-level aircraft and cruise-missile planning capabilities through advanced textual and geospatial visualizations.
These are some of the things you will do to support the mission:
Assist with database administration including design layout, installation, configurations, upgrades, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance.
Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, tables, PL/SQL scripts, creating associated documentation.
Perform data conversion and server migrations.
Assist with database implementation, security, privileges and regular maintenance tasks.
Aid to identify technical environment issues and recommend solutions to mitigate problems.
Work independently and as a team member/cross train capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and up to 5 years of prior relevant database experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Previous database administration experience—ability to develop and maintain scripts, procedures, documentation.
Ability to conduct database backups and recovery processes.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Security requirement: US citizenship in order to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
List additional skills and experience that is “nice to have” but not required.
Familiarity with web application technologies, such as Weblogic, Apache.
Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Mac OSX, Windows, LINUX, etc.).
Familiarity with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).
Active DoD security clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
