Job Description

A successful candidate will be part of a Network Engineering team responsible for the design of the LAN at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility during an amazing period in NASA's history. This network supports NASA's Artemis Program and the Mars Exploration Program, among many, many others.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Site Lead of 7 team members managing center service delivery for all AEGIS services. Primary interface with the WFF customer.
  • Network Engineering support for a 3 layer campus architecture consisting of Cisco switches and routers that provide LAN connectivity as well as VoIP, Collaboration, and wireless services.
  • Planning for the transition of the Stennis LAN into a Software-Defined Architecture utilizing Cisco’s DNAC Appliance and Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Detailed design and implementation of the transition of both new and existing Cisco routers and switches into the SDA fabric.

Basic Qualifications

BS Degree in Technical Field with 8 years Network Engineering experience

CCNA Certification

Excellent communication skills

Concrete working knowledge of LAN network design, routed data protocols, and hardware platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

CCNP Certification

Experience with Cisco ISE and Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00
