Summary of Job Duties:The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor to teach in the Information Systems department to begin August 2021 focused on Business Analytics. In addition to a specialty in Business Analytics, the ability and expertise to teach in at least one of the following areas is preferred: cybersecurity, application development, database/data warehouse, systems analysis and design, blockchain, and/or enterprise resource planning. A Teaching Assistant Professor is expected to teach eight courses per year with a mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed, normally with no more than two course preparations per semester. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience; benefits are competitive.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Academically qualified per AACSB accreditation standards
Doctorate in information systems, business analytics, or a closely related field, prior to the position start date, from a nationally or internationally accredited university conferred by the start of employment
Ability to publish in peer-reviewed information systems or related field journals
Preferred Qualifications:
Documented excellence and experience in teaching
Experience in both face-to-face and online course delivery
Experience and expertise in teaching courses focused on applied business analytics, data “wrangling” using both interface driven (e.g., SAS Enterprise Guide) and program driven (e.g.,Python) applications
Experience and expertise in teaching courses focused business cybersecurity, application development, database/data warehouse, systems analysis and design, blockchain, and/or enterprise resource planning courses
