Summary of Job Duties:

The Part Time Child Care Technician works under the supervision of the ELCSC Director and is responsible for providing direct care for toddler and pre-school children. This position is governed by institution policy.

Earle Love Child Study Center is open year-round from 7:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Part time schedules vary. Maximum 28 hours per week.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Providing personal care for toddler and pre-school children in the child care facility such as feeding, diapering, and providing assistance with personal hygiene.

2. Directing recreational activities and engaging toddler and pre-school children in learning activities.

3. Assisting lead classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom preparation.

4. Maintaining records concerning daily activities and personal progress of toddler and pre-school children.

5. Cleaning and upkeep of the facility areas such as laundry, kitchen duties, etc.

6. Performing related responsibilities as required or assigned.

7. Maintain a current CPR certification.


Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • CPR Certified or willingness and ability to become CPR Certified

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience as a child care provider

  • Knowledge of AR minimum licensing for child care centers, better beginnings requirements, ITERS/ECERS


Salary Information:

$11.00 to $12.00 per hour/commensurate with experience
