Billing Analyst

Opportunity Overview:

Billing Analyst - 9–12-month contract supporting BHI Energy/Westinghouse in Piedmont, S.C.

WECTEC Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a Billing Analyst in Piedmont, S.C. This is a 9–12-month contract opportunity with a wide range of responsibilities in billing/procurement.

The Billing Analyst is responsible for managing the efficiency of the billing system and analyzing billing data for the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the organization.

What your day-to-day looks like:

• Analyze billing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide reports on billing data for management / verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
• Research and solve payment discrepancies
• Obtain required approvals & forward purchase orders to suppliers / verify all purchase orders for appropriate selected sources
• Make adjustments to accounts as needed / issue change orders as needed
• Contact customers to obtain or relay account information
• Prepare weekly manual deposits & weekly reports for accountants
• Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
• Set up jobs and timesheets, generate invoices, post payments, collections and close jobs
• Administer procurement of all goods and services
• Maintain open communication and information accessibility with the accounting department
• Issue purchase orders and verify quotes as needed

What we need to see from you:

• Bachelor or Associate degree in accounting or related field is preferred; High School Diploma or GED and equivalent experience is required
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred
• Excellent working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software and accounting programs is required, including Pivot Tables & V-lookups
• Must be skilled in time management, data analysis, and financial reporting
• Ability to successfully work with a team and independently
• Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, integrity and trust
• Knowledge of BHI Energy processes and procedures and utilization of developed tools to effectively manage work is essential.
• Must actively demonstrate the BHI company values and support the BHI Ethics and Standards.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a working knowledge of BHI and client technical manuals and procedures; to pass BHI and client specific training and qualifications as required; subject to personnel call out as required in support of nuclear station emergent work requirements; to work overtime, to include shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed; and be able to pass all background and screening requirements for the position, to include drug and/or alcohol screening.
