PSEG is seeking an intern within the corporate Human Resources Department for the summer of 2023.
Human Resources supports the business functions across the enterprise in areas that include: Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Health and Safety, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Benefits Administration, Compensation, and Data Analytics. As companies reorganize to gain a competitive edge, HR plays a key role in helping companies deal with an ever-changing environment and the greater demand for quality employees and business continuity.
Job Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the program management and coordination of nomination programs (CYC, Accelerate, GROW, FLEx)
- Assist with program development and redesign
- Review and analyze results of employee course evaluations and prepare executive summary of findings and potential improvement recommendations.
- Track employee progress in programs utilizing LMS reports.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of monthly Leadership Speaker series.
- Serves as point of contact for L&D functions for all course participants
- Monitor the progress of FLEx program participants
- Assist with communication of L&D calender of events with HR Communications
- Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
- Should be detail oriented and possess good relationship building skills
Job Specific Qualifications
- The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resource Management, Leadership/Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or related major.
- All candidates must have completed sophomore year prior to the start of the summer internship program.
- PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
- 3.0 GPA
- All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period.
