Chemical Engineer/Chemist

This Chemical Engineer/Chemist opportunity is going to be an on-site position- based in our Richland, Washington office.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Supports all phases of chemical decontamination and steam generator chemical cleaning projects by performing important chemistry functions. These functions include, but are not limited to, chemical process modeling, chemical ordering, and field sample analysis and data evaluation to maintain optimum process conditions. This is followed by detailed project final reports. Requires a fully competent professional able to work with minimum supervision. The candidate will ultimately act as a project lead, provide direction to other staff positions, and participate in research and development projects.
• Knowledgeable in the chemistry of the first transition metal series, coordination chemistry, and electrochemistry. Ability to operate all standard laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, managers, and peers.
• Document and share technical data to promote learning and open dialogue among team members including procedures, drawings, and schematics generation.
• Identify, define and direct approach for successful resolution of technical and operational issues.
• Travel up to 25%-50% to domestic and international customer locations as a part of a team for field implementation of services.
• Provide appropriate internal/external personnel with periodic updates and recommendations regarding nature and status of work
• Identify and support improvement opportunities and present recommendations to management.
• Develop new or improved products/services utilizing knowledge of economic studies and recent technical developments. Coordinate and/or prepare technical documents for products/services.
• Instruct, train, and guide personnel on significant technical projects, tasks and activities

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's in Chemistry, BS in Chemical Engineering or chemistry-related technical degree,
• 3+ years of chemistry related experience (depending upon education and other background).
• Requires unrestricted access to nuclear power facilities and must qualify for work activities in a low-level radiation environment.
• Travel up to 25%-50% to domestic and international customer locations as a part of a team for field implementation of services.
• Must be able to obtain unescorted access to Commercial Nuclear Power Plants
