Gas Controller I
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Controller I in our Canonsburg, PA location. This role will be a key contributor overseeing gas pipeline pressures, flow rates, compression, and gas quality while utilizing state of the art technology.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Monitor live data including compression, pipeline pressure, flow rates, and gas quality to ensure safe and reliable delivery of gas to market.
- Evaluate daily operational conditions and take corrective action to ensure assets are optimized.
- Actively interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to work with field personnel to commission new facilities, re-route gas during maintenance/outages and ensure system operations return to normal at the conclusion of pipeline maintenance/outages
- Effectively document current and upcoming pipeline conditions in a daily shift log and communicate said conditions during shift hand-over.
- Ability to respond to and to help coordinate during abnormal operating conditions.
- Comprehend alarm management concepts, investigate and respond appropriately to maintain pipeline integrity.
- Perform shift work including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Safeguard confidential information
- Assist with training others and working overtime when needed
- Continually gain experience and exposure to other department functions to enhance knowledge as a controller
- Ability to thoroughly follow policy and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

- A high school diploma or GED
- Entry-level; 2+ years of experience which demonstrates the ability to solve problems without a clear precedent is preferred. equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Comprehensive knowledge as it relates to SCADA and field operations
- Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams
- Effective communication skills
The anticipated salary range for this position is $25.73/hr to $32.16/hr plus a total rewards package that includes:
