Job Summary

Leads and manages a team of non-union administrative staff who provide a full array of support services to the Corporate Claims organization, a team that addresses liability and financial recovery claims as well as facility relocation. The responsibilities of the administrative staff include intake of claimant information, creation and assignment of claims, preparation of all financial recovery billing, processing of incoming mail and checks for settlement payments, and management of various monthly reports.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares reports aggregating information from systems capturing the organization’s monthly activity and financials
  • Supervises all office operations including: time reporting, accounting, materials management, employee benefit activities, inventory and invoicing
  • Serves as the system administrator for the claims management software
  • Hires, mentors and develops administrative staff including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Special projects or reports as assigned or requested by Manager - Corporate Claims, and other departments such as Finance and Health and Safety

Job Specific Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 8 years of relevant experience; without a degree 10 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and work with a team of associates
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to learn and work with software systems that deal with financial and claims reporting
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company as well as with external stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing the activities of an administrative team
  • Proficiency in Business Objects and SAP
