Job Summary
PSEG Long Island is seeking a summer intern to work with the Engineering and Resources Team.
The Engineering and Resources team is responsible for the following:
• Engineering Design of the Electric Distribution System
• Budget Forecasting
• Budget Variance Analysis
• Accident Billing using the Damage Tracking System (DTS)
• Double Wood pole tracking using the National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS)
• Long Term Scheduling using P6
• Short Term Scheduling using SAP and Excel
This position will be in-person
Job Responsibilities
The successful intern will assist with:
• Prepare accident bills in Damage Testing System (DTS)
• Update National Joint Utilities Notification System(NJUNS)
• Assist with P6 Work plan
• Assist with Budget Variance Analysis
Job Specific Qualifications
Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Data Analysis or related majors. Candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered. PSEG Long Island recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Because this position requires driving to various PSEG Long Island Locations, a valid driver’s license and clean driving history
Preferred Skills:
• Good organization skills
• Good analytical skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• 3.0 GPA
All PSEG Long Island internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period and as business needs warrant. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students (must be enrolled at the commencement of the internship program) Housing, transportation, immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
