Products Solution Engineer (Chemical Engineering)

This position is preferably based on-site in Richland, WA. However, remote candidates may be considered as well.
Your Day to Day:
- Serve as a Product/Customer Solution Engineer focused on Decontamination supporting business development, B&P and project execution in the designated field.
- Work alongside PdM to Collaborate with Account Teams, BD Teams, GOS organization and Commercial Integration to capture opportunities.
- Support Product Manager in developing competitor intelligence and develop solutions to beat the competition.
- Support or lead B&P, organize input from multi-disciplinary groups and supporting customer needs to obtain contracts which contribute to profit margin and revenue.
- Analyze bid specification and RFQ requirements and develop project specific deliverables to enable successful project implementation and to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Analyze needs and develop unique customer solutions to address customers competitiveness and long-term viability.
- Identify unmet customer needs through appropriate market channels especially direct customer interaction.
- Support development and implementation of product strategy for new products and/or existing products to new customers/markets.
- Work with customer facing organizations, integrate competitive and market intelligence to develop products with strong customer value propositions.
- Participate in technical meetings (study meetings, Operational Experience, Conference, etc.) with the Customers
- Support Project Managers on resource demand estimates for GOS Engineering on a monthly basis for BU services backlog and identified opportunities
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of technical leadership experience in Engineering disciplines
- Prior Chemistry or Chemical Engineering background STRONGLY preferred
- Navy Nuke/Nuclear Experience Preferred
- Strong organization and communication skills and a proven history of managing and effectively leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and interfacing with multiple functional groups.
- Ability to build consultative relationships with customer, operations, maintenance and engineering decision-makers to enhance Westinghouse’s position as premier value-added supplier.
- Power plant operations and/or maintenance experience (desirable).
- Awareness of and ideally past participation in industry organizations related to implementation of D&D Products and Services.
- Persuasive ability to get customers to cooperate, grant approval or act.
- Consistent demonstration of driving for results.
- Willingness and ability to travel to sites for customer meetings, walk-downs, vendor meetings, industry conferences, etc. as required.
- Mastery of the office productivity tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, D365, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, OneNote, and Outlook
