Job Summary
This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.
This position will provide PSE&G Electric Operations' safety program leadership and implementation by establishing and maintaining industrial health and safety performance and programs for PSE&G Electric Division. Establishes safety & health programs under the direction of the Safety Manager, Electric Transmission and Distribution and provides technical oversight, and guidance to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to employee and contractor safety and health.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required
• Bachelors' Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field, and 6 years’ experience in a safety role in an industrial/utility setting
• In lieu of degree, 5 years’ experience in utility operations, maintenance or other safety sensitive area, which must include 2 years supervisory and/or 2 years LOB safety council experience.
• Must be able to work varying shifts to support division and field operations, including but not limited to emergencies, storms, and on-call assignments.
• Required to attend and complete professional development safety training.
• Strong leadership, adaptability, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, communications, client/customer satisfaction focus skills
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant consensus standards i.e. ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and persuasive interpersonal skills and strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Knowledgeable and proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal Enterprise systems.
• Must have a valid US drivers’ license.

Desired
• CSP, ASP, OSHT or CUSP certification preferred.
