Job Profile

The Tax Planning and Strategies function is part of Fresenius Medical Care's Center of Excellence Global Tax. The Senior Manager Tax Planning and Strategies is part of a global team of tax experts and reports to the Head of Tax Planning and Strategies. The role includes regional responsibility and includes:

  • Participation in the development or adaptation of the Group tax strategy and active involvement in the planning and implementation of tax strategy projects
  • Tax advice on M&A transactions (including integration projects, divestments and reorganization projects and establishment of new companies and permanent establishments)
  • Tax support for investments and business reorganizations
  • Tax optimization of the group's legal structure as well as internal group fInancing and dividend policy
  • Competent advice and support of subsidiaries in international tax law in strong cooperation with colleagues on site as well as the business units
  • Support of local tax functions as well as the Tax Audit & Controversy and Transfer Pricing Strategies function in international tax matters
  • Management and coordination of internal and external tax advisors
  • Proactive monitoring and review of legislative changes in the field of international tax law
  • EU-wide contact person for DAC 6 questions, as well as DAC 6 monitoring and implementation of necessary German reports
  • Development and implementation of trainings in the field of International Tax (and in particular DAC 6)

Personal Profile

  • Successfully completed studies in economics or law or as a tax advisor or comparable degree
  • In-depth knowledge of German and international corporate tax law,
  • Knowledge in finance and accounting (IFRS and local)
  • Several years of professional experience (at least 4 years) as a tax advisor or in a similar position in a multi-national group, an auditing or consulting firm
  • Analytical thinking and understanding of complex relationships as well as solution-oriented work
  • Independent and structured way of working as well as teamwork and communication skills
  • Interdisciplinary way of working
  • Project management skills and experience in a multi-national environment
  • English fluent in spoken and written, other foreign languages (especially Spanish or Chinese) are an advantage
