Inventory Ctrl Analyst Planner
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of all policies, processes, systems, and standards of work for the plant as related to raw materials, inventory control, and cycle counting. Responsible for plant SOX control and communication with corporate; ensures that all controls are in place and followed. Manages and coordinates the production scheduling by interfacing with Corporate Planning and Plant Operational Managers. Ensures the adequate and efficient supply of manufacturing material and the scheduling of outbound shipments to distribution centers or other locations, as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with Corporate Planning and Manufacturing Managers to coordinate and communicate plant production and shipping schedules.
- Develops, manages, and provides effective training for processes and procedures for inventory and material control.
- Acts as a key point of contact for Compliance Wire (SOP Training).
- Investigates and addresses process deviations and nonconformance issues as appropriate, escalating to senior management as necessary.
- Identifies and develops training programs to improve operation efficiencies and reduce non-conformance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Works closely with and makes recommendations to Materials Warehouse and Planning Manager, Plant Manager, Production Managers, Quality/Regulatory Affairs, Warehouse Supervisor, and Production Supervisors regarding identified issues and decisions.
- Conducts facility process and warehouse/transportation management systems audits/inspections and provides recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
- Designs and implements the necessary communication strategies to improve employee awareness and knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control systems processes.
- Develops and publishes detailed training materials in support of process and warehouse management systems programs.
- Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data, generating reports as necessary.
- Maintains administrative control of records related to processes, inventory control, and warehouse management technologies.
- Responsible for regularly monitoring materials and products and ensuring that necessary inventory is on-hand when needed to meet production schedules.
- Establishes and maintains inventory control procedures ensuring compliance to SOXs and cGMP.
- Assists those who participate in SAP transactions related to raw materials in order to ensure accurate reporting of financials.
- Responsible for yearly cycle count set up and yearly completeness of all inventory items.
- Responsible for daily cycle counting; tracks and reports on accuracy levels on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Responsible for location set up of warehouse.
- Ensures that all monthly physical inventories are completed and communicated to cost accounting for financial reporting.
- Acts as Plant SOX Co-coordinator - liaison between plant and Corp Headquarters to ensure all SOX requirements are being met and maintained.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- During Cycle counts will oversee the activities of employees from other areas temporarily assigned to these duties.
- Assists with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Operations or Logistics
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2 - 5 years of operation's experience (distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, business systems, engineering)
- Experience with direct process and/or warehouse management technology/systems
- Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system), process improvement, and quality systems required
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software -Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Operational knowledge of supply chain processes and systems and their impact on other functional departments
- Ability to influence staff/employees who are not direct reports
- Good communication skills - both verbal and written. Training skills
- Applied knowledge of Lean Manufacturing a plus
- Ability to understand and analyze transitions on an item by item basis for corrections to inventory and financial data associated with plant operations.
- Ability to relate to individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
