Accounts Payable Supervisor
Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Assistant Controller and the direct supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager, you will manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable Department functions. You will:
* Monitor the processing of over 10,000 invoices per month
* Provide guidance, facilitate development, and assist with resolving issues for Accounts Payable Leads and Processors
* Responsible for weekly and monthly various reports
* Responsible to identify training needs of staff and provide training
* Responsible for reviewing check requests and vendor maintenance forms prior to approval by the Assistant Controller
* Responsible for reviewing and reconciling various reports daily, weekly, and monthly
* Responsible for assisting AP manager with 1099 reporting
* Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned
* Manage disbursements and ensure accounts payable liabilities are paid in a timely manner
* Prepare monthly productivity to ensure the team members are met on a consistent basis
* Facilitate weekly check write
* Analyze and determine the operational requirements of the Accounts Payable functions
* Evaluate and prioritize workflow to ensure development and motivation of team members
* Perform various administrative responsibilities in supporting the daily departmental operations
* Maintain departmental policies, procedures, regulations
QualificationsWe are seeking a self-directed, deadline-driven, collaborative professional with:
* BA/BS with a major in a related field and two years of supervisory experience preferred
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resolution skills, and multi-tasking skills
* Demonstrate ability to identify and evaluate impact on workload
* Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions and procedures
* Ability to communicate effectively, collaboratively, and professionally
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
