Responsibilities

Venice Family Clinic is a community health center whose
mission is 'To provide quality primary health care to people in need.' Venice
Family Clinic cares for over 27,000 low-income patients in over 120,000 visits
annually who might otherwise go without critically needed health care services.
Venice Family Clinic has fourteen locations with over 420 staff, 1,300
volunteers, and a budget of $70 million. We provide high quality, comprehensive
primary and specialty health care, dental, mental health, substance use
treatment and child development services to underserved individuals and
families on the Westside of Los Angeles.

Under the general supervision
of the front desk supervisor, you will provide excellent
customer service to internal and external customers upon arrival to the
Children's Health Center, including: greet patients ins a friendly and
courteous manner,. will assist in
guiding and directing patients and visitors to various activities happening
throughout the clinic (s). You will also assist with front desk duties including but not
limited to registration, appointment scheduling, document scanning and
troubleshoot any incidents or problems that may arise at the clinic
site(s). In addition,you will
ensure the waiting area (s) are presentable and will act as a monitor for
safety and neatness.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual, English/Spanish - Required.
  • Typing 40 WPM - Required.
  • Good interpersonal skills to
    appropriately and effectively interact with
    patients and visitors, co-workers, professional staff in an appropriate manner - Required.
  • Ability to work variable hours
    as needed and workload requires - Required.
  • Working knowledge of NextGen, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    programs - Required.
  • Ability to operate fax, copier
    and scanner - Required.
  • Ability to maintain
    confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations - Required.
  • Knowledge of community
    resources - Required.
