Responsibilities

The Lead Image Analyst will work independently and
with junior staff to process imaging data sets and reconstructed images and
data for all sections. You will be under the general supervision of the
Operations Manager of the Clinical Quantitative Image Analysis and 3D
Visualization Service, a subdivision of the Computer Vision and Imaging
Biomarkers group, and as such, will also follow the directives of the
co-directors of that group.

You will collect data from CT and MR radiologic
imaging modalities and utilize the data to produce images or imaging data sets
which reflect and convey complex 3-dimensional relationships or functional
aspects including but not limited to perfusion analysis and diffusion-weighted
data, in order to highlight relevant anatomy or pathology. The post-processed reconstructions
include surface shaded display (SSD), maximal intensity projection (MIP),
perspective volume rendering (VR), angiographic or flow visualization, and
quantitative analyses.

Other duties include the ability to make accurate 3D
volumetric and 2D measurements and vessel probes, and to create rotational
batches. You will use computer workstations, networked and archival
media, and hard and soft copy display vehicles, and will access the clinical
and imaging databases to obtain necessary information regarding patients. You will be responsible for coordinating the work of junior staff
including devising solutions to problems beyond their scope of knowledge.

Other
duties include training and teaching staff and assuming a leadership role to
assist the Manager of the Lab.

Qualifications

High degree
of knowledge of various workstations (e.g., Vitrea, Osirix, Visage, Syngo,
and others) to process and generate high quality 3D, multi-planar and
angiographic images.

Be able to
use dedicated CAD packages for quantitative analyses and other tissue- or
organ-specific processing (e.g., DynaCAD, iCAD, Profuse, and others). Excellent
work ethic and service attitude.

Attentive to
detail and high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical
terminology. Excellent
communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of faculty
and staff. Excellent
ability to perform a variety of duties with frequent interruptions and to
work effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.

Thorough
knowledge of Windows and Mac platforms, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint. Ability to
acquire new technical skills and assume responsibility for new tasks. Skill in
setting priorities, which accurately reflects importance of job
responsibilities.

Demonstrated
ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct letters, memos,
and emails.

Ability to
work independently as well as in a team setting.

Ability to
teach and train junior staff. Familiarity
with internet software, browser, FTP, etc. Be able to troubleshoot.
