Responsibilities
The Pathology Outreach Client Services is seeking to hire a Hospital Laboratory Technician 2. Primary duties include:*Answer incoming calls; respond to service problems, requests for information, supplies, or requests for clinical pathology and anatomic pathology reports. Follow up on all calls and cancellations on clinical pathology tests
*Accessioning of molecular and cytogenetic cases
*Coordinate return of consult slides/blocks, including sorting, filing, tracking and shipping
*Prepare and send supplies to clients
*Print, distribute and mail clinical pathology and anatomic pathology reports
*Organize, sort and file Outreach slides and blocks
Qualifications*Must be able to work outside of normal shift/hours, which may include weekends, based on operational needs
*Excellent time management with the ability to work with multiple competing deadlines
*Highly organized with ability to maintain data/record/file systems
*HS diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET)
