Staff Research Associate II
Responsibilities
The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking
to hire a full-time Staff Research Associate to join the UCLA Depression Grand
Challenge (DGC). Our program of research is aimed at collecting a longitudinal
cohort of adult participants, including individuals with depression, from
multiple sites within UCLA. Primary duties include:
- Act as co-coordinator for large longitudinal clinical research study, responsible for recruitment, screening, scheduling, assessment, and data management of all enrolled patients to ensure target numbers are met by study end date
- Facilitate collection of biological sample data collection and transport of samples, and maintaining records of samples collected
- Assist in communication with IRB and Compliance to ensure adherence to research rules and regulations
- Conduct assessment visits, including clinical interviews
Bachelors Degree in Neuropsychology,
Psychology or related field (preferred)
Previous experience with adult depressed
patients or clinical research treatment studies (preferred)
Minimum 1-year experience in human clinical
research studies or in settings with direct relevant patient contact, including
training in risk assessment and response protocols
Ability to use multiple online tools to
support remote data collection from participants with a range of familiarity
with technology
Strong computer skills including word
processing, e-mail systems, file transfer, spreadsheets, neurocognitive testing
software, data entry, database maintenance
Ability
to enter data and maintain study records
