Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human behavior is seeking
to hire a full-time Division Administrator to join the Division of Geriatric
Psychiatry. You will manage and direct the administrative, clinical, financial,
personnel, and budgetary functions of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry,
including the associated research labs and Longevity Center. Primary
duties include:

  • Manage the hiring processing of all academic, staff, and post-doctoral fellows, student assistants, and voluntary staff
  • Assist in academic proposals and advancements
  • Establish and develop new programs, policies and procedures
  • Manage division's outpatient clinical programs
  • Responsible for preparation and oversight of division's grant budgets and submission
  • Assist in preparation of faculty compensation worksheets
  • Other financial duties as assigned
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in
business, healthcare, or accounting (preferred)
Ability managing a patient care setting
Experience planning and administering
multiple programs in a highly complex, changing research, academic, and
clinically‐oriented environment
Skill in grant management, financial
management, personnel management
Strong financial management skills
Skill in interpreting clinically‐based financial
reports
Skill in organization financial data for
regular analysis/oversight using spreadsheets and similar tools
Strong interpersonal and communication
skills to interact diplomatically
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential
information
Attention to details and excellent
follow‐through skills
Skill in setting priorities and organizing
workflow to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines
Knowledge of University policies and
procedures (preferred)
Knowledge of practice plan, and
clinically‐based billing and Medicare billing and documentation practices
preferred
Ability
to coordinate multiple clinical schedules
