Laboratory Manager
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for laboratory management and workon research projects. Duties include but are not limited to: perform
experiments in connectomics; oversee the
general running of laboratory, including the ordering of supplies and
equipment; work independently on research
projects; prepare
solutions for experiments; aliquot and
organize tracer solutions and help in
histological processing of sections. You will also assist with image
acquisition of histologically prepared sections and supervise uploads of all quarterly data and
metadata.Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Broad
theoretical and practical knowledge of standard organic, physical and
analytical chemical methods.
Technical expertise and working knowledge of
neuroanatomy, biochemistry and physiology.
Previous experience in laboratory management and
administration.
Previous experience with Biohazard Use Application (BUA), IACUC animal protocol, & Controlled
Substance Use Application.
Basic functional understanding of the research
concerns related to the effects of perinatal ethanol exposure on certain neuroendoctrine,
neuroimmune, behavioral and neurochemical indices of central nervous system
development and function.
Familiarity with MDDS and laboratory chemical
requirements.
