Nursing Professional Development Specialist
Responsibilities
The Nursing Professional Development Specialist is a registered nurse whose practice is in nursing education and who
facilitates lifelong learning for nursing staff in the UCLA Health System. The NPD Specialist for Education develops,
implements, evaluates, and revises programs of orientation,
in-service-training, workshops, and continuing education based on assessed
needs; provides direct services and/or consultation to the design,
presentation, and evaluation of educational offerings. Within each of these
role functions, the NPD
Specialist acts as a role model, change agent, advocate for nursing practice, and
expert in use of educational methods.
3-5 years of recent acute care experience, required.
Current valid CA RN license, required
ACLS and BLS, required
