Clinical Dietitian-Eating Disorders
Responsibilities
The Clinical Dietitian will be a member of the outpatient Nourish for Life team, treating patients and families of young people through age 26 with eating disorders or disordered eating. The Nourish for Life program is run through the DGSOM Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine, and the position reports directly to the senior dietitian and medical director. You will provide initial assessment of patients referred into the Program, as well as ongoing management as a member of the program's multidisciplinary team. This is a 50% part-time position, and work hours will vary.
QualificationsRequired:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Two or more years of experience in conjunction with a MS degree in nutrition related field or four or more years of experience in conjunction with a BS degree in nutrition related field
Ability to assess patient calorie, protein and micronutrient needs based on Standards of Nutrition Practice and the Guidelines for Nutrition Care
Ability to evaluate appropriateness of current nutrition regimen and make appropriate recommendations
Ability to apply principles of medical nutrition therapy, food service and sanitation
Ability to adapt procedures for patient education level, cultural practice, psycho-social and economic status
Work with and educate allied team members to develop plan of care for patients
Minimum of one year experience working with eating disorders or disordered eating
Must be able to travel within the Health System
Must be able to work flexible hours
