The Role at a Glance

As Operation Manager, you will consult and deliver on more complex assignments for your assigned area(s) of Executive Benefits responsibility. You will be a resource for key relationships for external customers, business partners, vendors as well as appropriate internal stakeholders. In this role you will ensure the timely management of an assigned team, who is responsible for collecting essential information for completing life insurance applications and for new business processing for Lincoln's Distribution partners. #LI-REMOTE

What you'll be doing
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects.
  • Serves as a resource on more complex aspects of the COLI/BOLI process (pre- and post-issue).
  • Provides timely updates to appropriate internal key stakeholders.
  • Consults with internal stakeholders to determine and/or ensure that customer service level agreements meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Participates in complex, detailed product/rider specification review when launching new products/riders or implementing system enhancements.
  • Participates in planning for future enhancements to streamline and automate department processes.
  • Identifies more complex issues that are not clearly defined, determines root cause, assesses impact, and recommends solutions that improve quality across the team.
  • Analyzes regulatory reports to determine trends, develop and executes remediation action plans for identified deficiencies.
  • Manages a team and processes for assigned area(s) of responsibility, ensuring workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.
  • Establishes and implements individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility.
  • Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
  • Identifies individual and team's performance developmental needs/trends and develops remediation actions as needed.
  • Manages expenses associated with providing service, to ensure cost efficiency for Executive Benefits.
  • Analyzes reports (e.g., audit, production, and quality) to determine trends and develops appropriate resolution actions such as training or other needed actions.
  • Develops and analyzes the team’s daily metrics and individual reports.
  • Mentors and develops team members by sharing technical knowledge.
  • Collaborates and communicates with the broader Executive Benefits organization.
  • Interfaces with Distribution, Product and Brokers.
What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 5+ Years of progressive insurance operations experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 2+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • FINRA Series License 6 - 180 Days upon hire
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions.
  • Drives performance targets to completion
