Senior Category Advisor
Background & Purpose of the Job:
The Senior Modular Advisor performs a valuable role in building a strong partnership with Walmart by leading a team to provide consultative category guidance and leadership to grow a strategic category.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do:
- Develop the relationship with the Merchant and be the point of contact
- Lead a team in the planning and execution of the modular
- Proactively provide analytics using all Category Management capabilities like planogram software, data tools, and data visualization tools to drive business opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.
- Develop and foster, through timely and professional communication, business relationships with Walmart key contacts
- Responsible for providing Category Management analysis and reporting (trend, velocity, portfolio and marketplace gap, clustering, distribution breadth and depth, placement, incrementality, customized customer reports, and special project work) directly to Walmart Merchandising
- Deliver fully integrated consumer, category, and market insight to guide Walmart’s strategic choices and tactical actions, leading to market leading growth.

You are able to develop plans for execution and engagement with appropriate customer contact points, timing, & content based on industry research and Unilever knowledge
You’re a visionary: Figuring out problems with limited direction doesn’t faze you. You have the intuition to anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting to develop and translate insight into retail action
You’re a dot connector: You will penetrate multiple cross-functional teams and the customer to link business opportunities and proactively make both strategic and tactical recommendations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Category Management
- Undergraduate degree is required
- CPG experience required; Walmart experience required
- Space Management Software Experience strongly preferred
- Experience with the Walmart modular process; beginning with category reviews through the assortment process, inclusive of drawing modulars/planograms, to post relay analysis
- Expertise in linking analytics via traditional data sources with cutting edge capabilities and tools to develop insights into action
- Extensive knowledge of data sources (Retail Link, Nielsen, Luminate, IRI, Numerator, Household Panel, Loyalty Card Data)
- Experience penetrating, persuading, and influencing internal & external touchpoints through clear, cogent, and concise communication

Pay: The pay range for this position is $110,700 to $166,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
