Category Management Executive - Fixed Term Contract

Purpose of the Role

The core of this position is highly-centered around customer/shopper trends and principles of Category Management (Point of Purchase drivers: Assortment, Promotions, Merchandising, and Price). This role is highly-critical especially for a highly-competitive category such as Ice Cream, with hybrid trade structure such as the Philippines


1. Assortment Strategy

• Craft total assortment strategy across all channels

• Define Core SKUs and placement targets of SKUs

• Evaluate distribution performance and optimize assortment directions

2. Perfect Store Operationalization

• Lead the total Perfect Store program of Selecta

• Define Perfect Store criteria and measurement across channels

• Coordinate with Developmental Groups and other support functions on audit process and trade execution

3. Planogram and Space Optimization

• Simplify planogram principles for trade execution

• Visualize channel planograms and assortment in all channels and cabinet permutation (as needed)

• Identify the right Days Cover and Cabinet Space needed, given the assortment directions

4. Shopper Studies + Growth Hacks

• Connect with Consumer and Market Insights team (CMI) on various shopper and channel studies and audits, and synthesize for cascading to CD and crafting customer-facing story

• Lead and facilitate growth-hacking session to pilot ideas before scaling


• Experience in category management or retailer solutions in an FMCG industry • In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operation and processes

• Hands-on experience with analyzing data and numbers, integrating it with shopper trends and syndicated research analysis from consultancy agencies

• Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic influencing skills

• Amenable for an initial fixed term contract (with possibility of absorption)
