As a Medical Affairs Manager, you will provide an expert interface between GSK Medical and the external healthcare community on medical topics. You will also help ensure the safe and effective use of GSK medicines through appropriate scientific dialogue.

These responsibilities include some of the following:
Works under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Country Medical Director / Medical Affairs Head (as applicable) on these areas:
Safety and Pharmacovigilance
Support the Country Medical Director and the Named Safety Contact (NSC) to comply with safety reporting requirements
May be assigned as NSC back-up as necessary to support Pharmacovigilance deliverables as aligned with PV WOWs/SOP
Medical Affairs
Safety/pharmacovigilance
Contribute to strategic planning with Medical Plans
Provides expert medical support for Healthcare products-related inquiries and Medical information
Ensure compliance with GSK Code of Practice, other relevant GSK Policies and SOPs, and prevailing national and international standards, such as PHAP
Conduct internal and external scientific presentations related to GSK products and strategies, as aligned with therapeutic area expertise
Develop modules and other materials to support marketing and training initiatives as aligned with therapeutic area expertise
Support product launches and other lifecycle management marketing activities
Lead Scientific Engagement activities as appropriate
Author and/or assist in the preparation of manuscripts for publication and abstracts for meetings, conferences, and journal publications
Deliver on label product presentations at conferences and GSK sponsored symposia; facilitate GSK initiated activities
Company Communications and PR
Conduct scientific presentations in support of GSK products and strategies to EEs, scientific meetings, congress, symposia, regulatory authorities, external visitors, and others
Government Affairs
Assist the country Business Managers/Directors in the development of tender submissions and information packages intended for regulatory bodies
Provide product and disease information to authorities to support policy and decision making
People Management
Manage Pharma MSLs, Medical Content Specialist
Develop and maintain an efficient, motivated, and committed Medical Affairs Team appropriate to the Company’s requirement
Encourage MSL P2P scientific exchange through execution of the MSL performance plan
Foster and encourage a learning environment to attain professionalism at the MSL level
Identify and develop key talents and successors
Develop managerial and technical skills of appropriate staff and provide motivation
Effectively/efficiently handle and nurture personnel related issues, promoting initiative, self-development, and teamwork
Demonstrate clear leadership and commitment to GSK’s EHS Policy, establishing a system for delivering compliance with Global EHS standards in terms of developing, implementing and maintaining an effective risk management processes, identifying and managing risks and issues, and defining relevant EHS indicators, metrics, objectives, and targets to drive EHS performance. Comply with Company policies and processes for QMS, Medical governance, Procurement, IT, Finance, EHS and HR, as relevant.
Principal Accountabilities
Pharma Or Vaccines focused facilitator and implementer in local country, under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Country Medical Director/Medical Affairs Head (as applicable) for:
Medical Governance – compliance to GSK Code, PHAP Code, and other relevant guidelines Medical Marketing Matters – i.e., EE development, Product Strategy, Medical Information, Publications, Product Training Implementation of Scientific Engagement activities

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Medical degree
Three years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or medical research
Experience interpreting and communicating scientific data and statistics
Training on Evidence Based Medicine and/or clinical epidemiology is desirable
Sound understanding on Principle and Practices Good Clinical Practices and SOPs
Can understand scientific methods and experimental designs
Excellent in written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in word and power point is desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred
