Procurement Specialist – Direct Materials

In this role you will…

  • Execute sourcing strategies for spend categories in scope of responsibility aligned with the requirements of stakeholders and business partners with cooperation with Global Category & Site Procurement Teams.

  • Deliver benefits identified in regional and global strategies, through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation.

  • Ensure GSK’s Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner in the area of responsibility.

  • Support category leads in the creation and delivery of effective savings targets other set KPIs agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the agreed Savings Methodology.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deploy strategies globally/regionally, facilitated by robust implementation and transition plans.

  • Cooperation with a wide range of senior leaders across business areas and with suppliers.

  • Resolve escalations, including from senior business stakeholders, timely and tactfully.

  • Understand and efficiently navigate organizational complexity to deliver set goals.

The Global Delivery Centre provides the critical Source to Contract capability for GSK. Leading the delivery of a high volume of sourcing projects globally, the centre acts as the operational engine of the procurement organisation. As such, the GDC will play a critical role in delivering both the in-year savings and the functions long term operating model.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2 years of operational Procurement experience across multiple categories of spend (and familiarity of regulated environment).

  • Full proficiency in English.

  • Proven experience in commercial and contract negotiations, strategic sourcing in direct categories (raw materials, packaging).

  • Ability in navigating through organizational complexity, collaborating simultaneously with multiple teams,

  • Influencing and problem solving skills

  • Ability to understand and utilize complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance

  • Strong experience in using tools like Ariba or other equivalent sourcing execution technology
