The Quality Digital Product Owner will be a pivotal member of Amgen’s comprehensive Quality Transformation program, enabling Amgen to continue delivering on its mission to serve patients amidst an increasingly dynamic and competitive landscape. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team to develop, maintain, and cultivate digital and business capabilities in partnership with functional clients and IS / DTI colleagues. The digital transformation will be multi-faceted; successful deployment will include end-to-end process simplification and the development of a digital ecosystem to seamlessly integrate data flows across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the voice of the customer/client and the leader of the product team
Monitor, evaluate, and communicate product progress at each stage of the development lifecycle, including key decisions and issue escalation
Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs, shape the vision and concept, and translate needs into product requirements
Own the product roadmap; work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align the roadmap to strategic goals
Develop scope and help define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the development team
Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business commitments
Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
Assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize opportunities to ensure the work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product
Define and implement change management plans including communications, staff engagement, training, and sponsorship
Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams
Monitor and evaluate external trends and cross-industry benchmarks to help shape development approaches and our technology roadmap

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of engineering, business management and/or life sciences experience
Or
Master’s degree and 6 years of engineering, business management and/or life sciences experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of engineering, business management and/or life sciences experience
Or
Associate degree and 10 years of engineering, business management and/or life sciences experience
Or
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of engineering, business management and/or life sciences experience
And
2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, business management and/or life science
6 years of engineering, business management and/or life sciences experience
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and substantial experience as a product owner and/or scrum master
Experience in data science, data-driven application development, and application lifecycle management
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, specifically financial analysis, business case development, portfolio planning, and resource & budget management
Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to large, digital transformation programs and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams
Understanding of drug and combination product development, manufacturing, and distribution
Experience in post-market surveillance, complaint investigations, combination product and device regulations
Ability to communicate and collaborate across all areas of Amgen, to include Operations, R&D, and IS/DTI
Consistently delivers on-time, and high-quality results aligned with ambition and business commitments
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to lead decision making using DAI principles
Robust and pragmatic problem-solving approach with ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems
Experience with a definition of minimum marketable features and minimum viable products
