Job Description
Fully remote position candidates can apply from any state.
Working hours will be Monday - Friday 9AM-5PM with flexibility.
No weekends or holidays will be required.

The Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for bringing to life synchronous and asynchronous elements of the learning curriculum. This person is a critical team member within the CVS Health Enterprise, Learning, Development and Performance Center of Excellence (ELD&P) within the Human Resources department.
The ideal candidate is learner-centric, highly creative, and an expert in utilizing adult learning strategies to create non-digital learning solutions. The Instructional Designer works closely with the Learning Program Owner to define learning objectives, project scope, and budget in order to design and develop a non-digital solution that is monitored and adjusted for performance throughout the learner’s lifecycle. They are an out of the box thinker with a growth mindset and thrive in a rapidly changing environment with an agile space. This person actively seeks out innovative learning solutions that will deliver an engaging, measurable, and effective learning experience for colleagues working in the PBM Clinical, PBM Mail, or Omnicare business units of CVS Health.
The Instructional Designer:
• Collaborates with ELD & P Workforce and/ or Learning Program Owners to define, plan and align on Instructor-Led (virtual or in-person) design elements as defined in SOW
• Consults on design of synchronous (event-based) alternatives/modalities to create the most efficient and cost-effective learning approach relative to the SOW
• Uses the latest formal instructional design methodology to design and develop sophisticated, performance-focused non-digital solutions using a variety of experiences and activity approaches
• Designs visual elements (such as infographics, print and digital templates) for each solution that engage targeted audience(s) and are visually appealing
• Drives solution implementation utilizing the Learning Management System and production tools to track project plan and program data
• Develops Train-the-Trainer sessions in collaboration with Learning Program Owners
• Coordinates the training plan to include managing project budget (where applicable), project plan, and working with business and ELD&P partners as needed to ensure project goals and quality standards are met
• Simultaneously manages multiple, relationally complex and/or high-profile projects for enterprise-wide or business-specific implementation
• Performs quality reviews to ensure program meets quality and design standards; ensure digital solutions function in targeted audiences' environment technological architecture
• Works in partnership as appropriate with external vendors to deliver state-of-the-art, technology-based digital solutions
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 43,700
Maximum: 97,400
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in the field of Instructional Design
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design application and strategy as a subject matter expert
• Prior experience designing for a remote learning environment
• Strong project leadership skills
• Experience connecting key performance indicators (KPIs) to a continuous learning strategy
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and design strategies
• Experience designing effective program evaluation strategies to the L3 and L4 levels
• Ability to synthesize Key Performance Data and develop data stories linked to L3 and L4 evaluation
• Ability to breakdown complex processes into scalable and digestible chunks for learners working in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced Degree in Instructional Design or related field with 1+ years of practical experience
• Ability to communicate with and influence others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong collaborator with active listening skills
• Strong sense to identify priorities, potential tradeoffs, and execution variables specific the business landscape
• Comfort operating and collaborating in a remote work environment
• Experience working with graphic designs.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in design related field or equivalent experience being 3 years’ work experience in the field of Instructional Design.
