The position of Certifying Scientist is within our Toxicology Laboratories
located at Santa Rosa, CA. This is a swing shift position Monday - Friday from
2pm - 10.30pm. This role will be instrumental in providing quality and timely results to our clients.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Perform laboratory tests in accordance with laboratory standard procedures.
Review and certify forensic toxicology test results
Document calibration and quality control results for forensic test data.
Provide assistance, training and support for laboratory technicians.
Reorder lab supplies, reagents, or consumables as authorized.
Follow all new and revised lab procedures as directed by the Department Manager, General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, or Lab Director.
Perform any and all other duties as may be requested by the Department Manager, General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, or Lab Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Medical Technology or, related chemical or biological sciences
3-4 years’ experience within an analytical laboratory.
Preferred
Experience reviewing mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS) data within a toxicology laboratory setting.
Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Must possess excellent Computer skills.
Must possess strong work ethic with commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.
