The Opportunity

Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Analyst, CRM Database & Campaigns. The role of Sr. Analyst, CRM Database & Campaigns is responsible for execution of CRM campaigns, launching new marketing campaigns in-house or at the 3rd party CRM database provider, and project management of database operations. Strong database background along with solid SQL skills is critical to this role. Ideal candidate will have experience with marketing automation tools such as IBM Campaign (Unica), Salesforce and Alteryx.

What You’ll Work On

Program Management

  • Work cross-functionally overseeing data related enterprise initiatives impacting CRM. Subject Matter Expert on database operations including business and campaign rules, data loading and cleansing, fulfillment of files, new infrastructure implementations.

  • Proactively communicate across functional groups to assure program delivery against strategic objectives, provide accurate tracking against priorities, provide early identification of issues that may impact program delivery.

Campaign Execution

  • Build, manage and enhance complex campaigns based on business & consumer privacy requirements. Audit campaign selection results.

  • Design, develop, enhance, QA and automate campaigns that meet marketing objectives. Develop and document well-defined standardized processes.

  • Monitor and communicate health of CRM program; recommend strategic enhancements to campaigns.

  • Develop and distribute campaign selection audit reporting.


  • Develop campaign strategies that meet business objectives, timing, and budget requirements.

Supplier Management

  • Manage day-to-day activities with external supplier partners (e.g., Database Provider) to ensure successful delivery against established targets.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Finance/Computer Science or in a relevant area with proven expertise working with complex relational databases and executing intricate campaigns across multiple channels.

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in database marketing utilizing marketing automation tools such as IBM Campaign (Unica), Salesforce and Alteryx.

  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in demonstrated understanding of relational database technologies and applications.

  • Advanced experience in SQL preferred.

  • Functional and technical expertise in digital marketing including understanding of capabilities and execution of email, direct mail, loyalty and SMS campaigns preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to find creative solutions for challenges regarding campaigns and data.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategic guidance into effective tactical programs across a variety of audience segments, offers and distribution channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a significant roster of projects and programs with varying degrees of scope and complexity across all U.S. Abbott Nutrition brand CRM programs.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including ability to translate complex data concepts to business partners with a wide range of data understanding.
