Position Summary
We are recruiting for a Heart Failure Business Process Manager (BPM) to join our team in the Pleasanton, CA location. The BPM is an essential role to the success of all Commercial Excellence efforts since it is the principal architect of business processes globally. This role will report to the Global Head of Commercial Excellence
In this role, you will be the owner of all business processes that support Commercial Excellence efforts globally. You are the primary driver of researching, developing, and implementing business process and will be leading cross-functional project teams to advance Commercial Excellence initiatives. This will consist of identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce errors, increase efficiency, optimize results and minimize time, as well as design new business processes. Additionally, you will be building management tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and providing overall customer management. You will partner with other commercial excellence team members in developing management systems that drive efficiency and improve sales success rate and identify opportunities for automation. You will be expected to partner with global counterparts, research current state, and conduct field work to engage the end-users and managers in their selling environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ownership of business processes that support Commercial Excellence initiatives.
• Developing guidelines and standard operating procedures for all business processes.
• Performing complex process improvement and effectiveness methodology work.
• Mapping processes, facilitating improvements, coordinating improvement initiatives, and managing multiple projects.
• Participating in Project Teams that will advance Commercial Excellence initiatives.
• Collaborating with content experts to develop optimal solutions.
• Gathering data, analyzing and synthesizing information, communicating processes cross-functionally.
• Developing and maintaining process metrics, bench marking data and reports.
• Conducting performance trending.
• Obtaining a working knowledge of Heart Failure products.
• Leading by example the ability to formally and informally present or discuss Abbott Heart Failure business mission, values and objectives.
• Responsible personally for adherence to company values, ethics and legal obligations in the conduct of daily business.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
• 5+ years of data, systems and/or analytical experience
• Demonstrated running/managing projects and/or project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
• Experience collaborating with and working with cross-functional teams in a geographically diverse, matrixed organization
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
• Proven experience working in a highly regulated, high-quality system environment, and compliance with governmental regulations

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree
• LEAN certification
• Medical device experience
