We have an Account Manager opportunity available for an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional. Reporting into the Sales Manager, you will have full ownership and accountability for managing accounts within your territory; providing a consistent, science-led and value-added service for health care professionals that supports best public health outcomes for people.

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive and strategic account plan to drive value and deliver growth.

  • Establishing and developing effective commercial relationships to promote and competitively sell products.

  • Supporting the implementation of key marketing campaign in the assigned accounts which differentiate and enhance GSK’s standing in the healthcare market.

  • Ensure that key accounts and stakeholders are engaged, educated and informed to drive growth.

  • Continuing to expand your knowledge in the respiratory portfolio.

Territory Management

  • Continuously identify and profile key target customers and find the opportunities to drive performance.

  • Identify business opportunities within territory and be able to execute and follow up on progress and outcome.

Stakeholder management

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage relationships with Healthcare Professionals, key institutions, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders

  • Maintain high level of customer service with identifying and resolving customer queries and problems proactively.

  • Working in partnership with GSK commercial, medical and sales teams to deliver objectives in line with GSK strategic priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 4 year BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 2 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary with some overnight travel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle – driving is an essential function of this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Minimum 2 years vaccines sales experience
  • Nursing (MSN, RN, LPN) or other healthcare qualification and experience
  • Demonstrated competency of science, business acumen, and customer engagement
  • Strong account selling skills, including contract negotiations and ability to close a sale at the completion of a transaction
