Regional Sales Director, Vaccines- Southern Virginia

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead critical activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
- Lead and direct team of Immunization Specialists /Account Managers to promote GSK Vaccines products to targeted physicians; Independent, Health System Accounts; and Public Accounts to achieve specific sales goals
- Direct Immunization Specialists / Account Managers in the acquisition, expansion, and retention of targeted business within the assigned area.
- Participate in the formulation of Region sales strategies, interpret National and Area strategies, and apply to issues within the geographic area.
- Achieve or exceed sales goals
- Full Engagement with key accounts (largest accounts in area) by developing and implementing strategies, participating in contract discussions, and overseeing the implementation and servicing of accounts
- Act as local liaison and collaborator (build consensus on area strategies and tactics) between GSK Vaccines Sales and relevant GSK teams inside and outside of the Vaccines Business Unit
- Identify and validate market opportunities and needs and assist with developing plans, as needed, to launch, test, and refine new product and service offerings.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships (GSK focal point for customer) with key executives (CEO, CFO) and key decision influencers/makers in priority accounts.
- Manage and deploy resources (financial, field staff) to ensure achievement of objectives. Establish and manage area expense budgets; ensure appropriate return on investment.
- Work with Immunization Specialists /Account Managers on a consistent basis evaluating and directing customer engagements.
- Attract, develop, and retain individuals who will ensure high level of performance.
- Provide adequate training, coaching, follow-up, and development of sales representatives in all phases of their work including career development.
- Work with Field Business Manager to coordinate programs and strategies within the Region
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences, Marketing, or Business required.
- Must possess a combined minimum of 5 years in the following: Pharmaceutical Sales Experience or Pharmaceutical/Marketing management experience or Equivalent industry experience.
- Valid Driver's License
- Willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time in Southern VA territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Vaccines Sales management experience
- Completion of GSK leadership development program (e.g., ADP, ADP+)
- Knowledge of Vaccines market, products, therapeutic areas, business and clinical environment.
- Previous industry management experience in sales and/or marketing (specialty experience preferred)
- Strong record of high performance and consistent results.
- Business to business selling experience
- Strong knowledge of health systems and health systems selling required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation and influencing skills.
