Senior Software DevOps Engineer

DevOps Platform Engineer II
We are looking for experienced, high caliber DevOps Platform Engineer to join our DevOps Team. This team is responsible for creating and maintaining services to continuously build, Deploy and Release software for Embedded, Web and Mobile Platforms.
This team is part of a culturally diverse global team sharing the same goal, and is comprised of highly skilled, experienced, motivated, ever-curious and thus ever-learning individuals. As part of this team, you will design, develop, and document software applications used to process and display medical device data.
Roles and Responsibilities: “What You'll Do…”
- Perform day-day operational activities to support production and staging environments hosted on-premises and cloud.
- Perform monitoring and observability duties, and perform duties as defined by Incident, Change, Service Request, and Problem Management processes.
- Participate with the investigation, documentation, and resolution of issues affecting Cloud and On-Premises Services in the production environment.
- Using a data-driven process/mindset, author technical content to support the incident response process (e.g., postmortem/root cause analysis) and develop interim solutions to prevent or quickly resolve issues/problems.
- Will be working on software engineering tasks such as review of incidents, and operations/observability tasks to drive improvement of services, tools or procedures to increase reliability, scalability and reduce operational overhead through automation, training, documentation, and service enhancement.
- Interact with colleagues on technical and Non-functional topics related to operational and support of Cloud Services.
- Quickly master technical and functional areas to perform the duties assigned.
- Constant assignments to learn cutting edge Cloud computing technologies, tools, services, and Cloud applications.
Desired Qualifications: “What the Perfect Candidate Will Have”
- Experience with programming in a high-level language such as Python, Java, Golang, BASH scripting, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience with Microservice architecture, containerization technologies (e.g. Docker), and Cloud Native principles.
- Experience with continuous integration, delivery, deployment (CI/CD) tools and Pipeline development (e.g., GitLab-CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with web/cloud-based software version control tools such as bitbucket, GitLab, GitHub, Git, Artifactory
- Experience with cloud orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, and Docker).
- Experience with networking technologies (SDN, routing, switching, IP addressing, DNS, Load balancers, etc.)
- Experience with Cloud Store technologies (Azure Storage, File, Block, Object), Relational Databases, SQL language, and Database Management tools (Oracle, Postgres, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and MySQL).
- Experience in QA, Technical problem solving, and the ability to breakdown complex problems across multiple domains.
- Experience with operations/support processes and tools such as: Incident Management, Change Management, Ticketing Systems (JIRA, Service Desk), Service Level Agreements, Escalation processes.
- Experience working with major cloud platform(s): Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (AWS) - any certification(s) a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ or Active MQ or any similar MQ technologies.
- Excellent communications skills - verbal and written English
- Motivated to learn multiple, cutting-edge technologies in the cloud industry
- 4-year Degree with a technical major or equivalent experience (e.g. Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, IT, etc.)

The salary for this role is between $82,100 – $164,100
