Our Public & Labor business segment focuses on school systems, municipalities, county governments, public sector consortiums, state governments, and multi-employer welfare plans. The Public & Labor Market Head is responsible for the growth and profitability of our public & labor business in the New York/New Jersey and New England market.

This is a top leadership position within the New York/New Jersey and New England market. The Market Head leads a team of sales and account management professionals responsible for meeting customer needs and helping those customers make better decisions about their health care benefit programs and health care spending. The incumbent provides strategic direction and leadership to the team so that they're able to achieve sales, service, and retention goals for their assigned book of business and producers. The incumbent is also primarily responsible for developing and executing business development strategies that consider the complex nature of purchasing decisions in the Public Sector & Labor space.

You'll make an impact by:
• Sets, communicates, and executes operational strategy and performance measures in line with company, segment, and market goals.
• Ensures achievement of sales, membership growth, retention, and profitability goals.
• Analyzes the competitive environment to support and improve pricing, underwriting, and product development strategies (as well as service approach and sales efforts).
• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with all constituents, both internal and external. Regarding external constituents, leads the team through its execution of a successful "ground game" with all the various influencers who have a voice in purchasing decisions.
• Partners with cross-functional matrix partner leaders and represents sales to ensure internal and external constituent needs are met.
• Removes organizational barriers that impact the cross-functional work required to achieve results.
• Educates constituents on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current key business issues.
• Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 120,800
Maximum: 260,700

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have the following experience / knowledge / ability:

• Ability to work Hybrid Model (in office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)
• 10+ years of experience in healthcare sales experience.
• 5+ years of sales management experience and proven track record of building a successful team.
• Licensure as required by state.
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

• Experience leading sales and account management teams who serve Public Sector & Labor customers.
