Job Description

This role includes closely working with a team of engineers to drive delivery excellence, partner with business and other IT leaders to build digital assets, provide expert level support to resolve complex issues and provide RCA, identify gaps in systems in current digital eco system and provide solutions to enhance overall performance. All of this is critical to driving Digital growth and improving customer experience. This individual will collaborate with digital leaders, business partners, and IT colleagues to deliver business growth and great customer experiences that differentiate CVS in the market, while ensuring efficient, effective, and safe product development.
Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Product and UX teams to be part of a team of engineers in developing elegant code, state-of-the-art customer experiences and build industry leading digital experiences
• Collaborate to drive solutions that would reduce cost and time to market
• Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and establish communication across all team and Product Owners
• Participate in Agile Scrum team activities including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily Scrum, Review and Retro
• Develop applications/web services and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE, REST API, Spring Core, Spring Boot Framework, Spring Security and other tech stacks (Open source and proprietary)
• Build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins etc. as part of CI/CD process
• Will be responsible for end-to-end application delivery including coordination with required teams for production deployment
• Continuously monitoring application health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues as and when needed
• Collaborate in troubleshooting complex data, features, service, platform issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues
• Be an advocate of security best practices, support the importance of security within engineering, partnering with Digital and Enterprise security teams and digital product owners to ensure compliance

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
5+ years developing in programming language Java/J2EE
3+ years developing microservices using Spring Boot
4+ years of experience in relational databases, NoSQL, or cloud datastores
3+ Knowledge of MVC, MVVM, MVP, and other design patterns and core frameworks
4+ Knowledge of Threading concepts, SOAP & Restful APIs, UI Storyboards
3+ Experience with development toolsets, integration and deployment tools, and testing automation tools
3+ Experience with the implementation of third-party libraries and API

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cloud computing with GCP/Azure/AWS is a big plus
Ability to understand problems, break them down into hypotheses and propose solutions in a clear manner
Ability to crisply document design and implementation details
Willing to work as a team and has the right attitude to work as a part of a large organization

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
