ROLE SUMMARY

This role has accountability for some or all of the following:

  • Providing Leadership for a team of direct reports that may include Calibration, Maintenance and Utility technicians

  • Ensures safe work environment

  • Repair and maintenance of GMP equipment, Utilities, HVAC and facilities

  • Management of shift schedule/activities to minimize operations downtime

  • Shift communications including escalating events to upper management

  • Utility (plant and clean) and HVAC operations

  • Alarm Monitoring Process

  • Maintenance input into problem solving

  • Continuous improvement activities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership and support for the site within the Maintenance and Utility areas of responsibility.

  • Responsible for site essential team and individual performances including Goal and Objective setting, annual performance review, assisting with individual Development plans, implementing disciplinary actions when warranted, etc.

  • Ensures site EH&S policies are followed - participates in developing Method Statements for non-standard work.

  • Evaluates team’s work schedule/request and establishes priorities

  • Provides communications to service recipients as needed including outages, schedule changes, etc.

  • Manages the department response to Utility and Electrical outages.

  • Ownership of all activities occurring during their shift including work execution, alarm monitoring and documentation.

  • Participates in job candidate interviewing and selection processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Indicate qualifications that are job related, consistent with business necessity and necessary for the performance of an essential function of this role including: education/licenses/certifications, relevant experience (where legally permissible), technical and/or other job-related skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years relevant experience and 1-2 years supervisory experience.

  • Associates Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience in supervisory and/or technical areas

  • Non-degreed candidates with 5-10 years relevant experience in supervisory and/or technical areas

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The incumbent has and can demonstrate a good understanding and technical proficiency of the maintenance of GMP related equipment and facilities within their job responsibilities.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Moderate repetitive standing, sitting, bending, ladder climbing, walking, visual inspections, pushing and lifting (up to 40lbs) required daily.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • 24/7 (12 hours) rotating shifts with overtime or

  • 8-hour shifts depending on site needs
