We are seeking resumes for a Division Production Systems Manager for our Hexacomb division.

Hexacomb is a leader in Kraft paper-based honeycomb protective packaging product and serves key industries that value product protection coupled with environmental sustainability. This includes furniture, consumer, automotive, textile, food, building products, energy, glass, and industrial. Hexacomb has seven manufacturing plants in North America.

Position Summary:

The Division Production Systems Manager is the primary contact point for Hexacomb’s information system. This role requires will be responsible for the daily performance of the system and all its touch points both divisional and corporate. This position will also develop long-term best practices and standards for both users and interfaces.


Principle Accountabilities:

  • Manage, maintain, update, configure and modify DELMIAWorks/IQMS to meet user needs – scanners /printers / user interfaces / reliability/ database administration/ real time data collection inputs and outputs.
  • Manage, maintain, update any and all interfaces – AR / AP / Hex Integrations / Roll Stock / Rest API – (sender side) / Avalara /EDI / customer portals.
  • Know and follow policies and procedures of the company. This person must make data integrity and security a prerequisite to all actions.
  • Ensure information systems are a tool for continuous improvement vs a necessary evil.
  • Key player in keeping Hexcomb as the leader in customer service.

Decision Making:

The Division Production Systems Manager is expected to exercise high level decision making based on a variety of information provided through various sources. The Division Production Systems Manager is expected to exercise independent judgment, conduct research, make recommendations, and execute solutions with limited direction and/or supervision. As a company representative the Division Production Systems Manager must exercise discretion realizing that his/her interactions with vendors and customers must be in accordance with PCA policies and ethics.


Interactions:

The Division Production Systems Manager interacts with corporate and plant personnel from all functional areas. The Division Production Systems Manager is expected to develop solid working relationships with these individuals to increase plant and department interactions and overall communication efforts. Externally, the Division Production Systems Manager may need to interact with customers and vendors to develop solid working relationships.


Position Requirements:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree required. Degree in computer science or business is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience working with, managing, maintaining, and configuring/ modifying business systems for a manufacturing operation.
  • Five or more years of experience in Systems/production scheduling in a made to order manufacturing environment, a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
  • Experience with DELMIAWorks/IQMS or other similar Enterprise Resource Systems (ERP) operating software.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems including Crystal Reports Microsoft.
  • Work with system-to-system integrations a plus.
  • Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies, practices, and requests for information.
  • Strong listening, evaluating, and problem-solving skills. Ability to create alternative solutions and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and communicate with production teams and management.
  • Previous work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members.
