In this role you will:

• Evaluate current manufacturing processes, identify areas that need improvement, work with engineers and Lead personnel who are subject matter experts.

• Work with Fixturing vendors to support PCB assembly – SMT, Selective wave and secondary operation steps.

• Work with Test Engineers to help design and develop Test fixtures, cabling, mechanical design with floor layout and ergonomic considerations.

• Responsible for new process development and implementation – work closely with Continuous Improvement team to develop and optimize overall manufacturing process including Product yield and throughput aspects.

• Act as liaison between Design Engineering and Manufacturing with respect to new product launch efforts. Knowledge and experience with DFM techniques to help facilitate manufacturability of PCBAs and Assemblies.

• Experience with Lean techniques as related to manufacturing.

• Knowledge and experience with component engineering aspects as it relates to Part specifications, validation through sample procurement and verification.

• Monitor Product Yields on a daily basis and work with appropriate engineers to take corrective actions when trends indicate equipment and/or process issues.

• Create work instructions/update existing ones to be applicable to the most current revision of Products being assembled and tested.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas, improvement plans, and data is a must.

• Knowledge in Statistics and Lean practices is preferred

• Knowledge of and experience with SMT processes is preferred.

• Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) in Engineering. Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing is preferred

• Over 5+ years of experience in a mid to high volume manufacturing environment is required.
